The government has stated the new initiative has an overall fund of £20m which will be distributed to small and medium-sized businesses in grants of between £1k and £5k. These grants are to be used for accessing professional advice from accountants, HR experts, and lawyers, as well as purchasing new technology and equipment. The funding can be accessed via one of the growth hubs within your Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area and to get the scheme rolling each LEP has been given a minimum of £250k to distribute within their area.
