As detailed previously, the SME Brexit Support Fund will provide grants of up to £2000 to help businesses, up to 500 employees and no more than £100 million annual turnover, with training or to seeking professional advice. The fund was initially announced in February this year and HMRC have now updated their guidance to confirm that applications can now be made online and the closing date for these applications is 30 June. The guidance also states that the application date may be brought forward if all the funds are allocated. Applications can be made for either a training grant, a professional advice grant or both, but the total amount requested cannot exceed the £2,000 cap. Advice provided by ICAEW members competent to deliver consultancy services in these areas would qualify for grant funding if the expenditure was made on or after 11 February 202 Find out more Recent PostsWright Vigar National Three Peaks ChallengeCharity BankingResidential Properties – Company or personal ownership?
