Wright Vigar merges with Hobsons to better serve the Nottinghamshire market!

Leading chartered accountants Wright Vigar and Hobsons officially announce their merger. The new group will operate in Nottingham and Newark under the Hobsons Wright Vigar name. Wright Vigar will now have eight offices across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and London.

The merger will see two well established firms combine, strengthening their position in Nottingham and Newark. The move is in line with Wright Vigar’s strategy to accelerate growth through mergers with organisations that are a strong cultural fit and strengthen their position within new and existing markets. They acquired a practice in Mansfield in 2020.

Established almost 90 years ago, Hobsons have developed an enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first-class service to business and personal clients alike. They work with clients in the local Nottinghamshire community and service businesses across many sectors.

Wright Vigar have been providing quality accountancy and taxation services across North Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and London since 1979. They provide a personal relationship-based service through their local offices whilst having the expertise through the depth of their team to provide all the specialist services expected of a large practice.

The merger sees 35 fee earners join the already strong Wright Vigar team of 124 team members, increasing their extensive range of specialists to allow them to cater for private clients and businesses across all sectors.
