What began as a goal of £10,000 grew into an extraordinary achievement, thanks to the dedication of their team and the generous support of their clients and professional contacts. LNAA’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, Joe Harper said: “Thank you so much to the whole team at Wright Vigar for raising such an amazing amount. This funding will keep our helicopter in the sky and critical care car on the roads for one whole day, responding to four potentially life-threatening missions. We receive no direct government funding for our operations, instead we rely on the generosity and goodwill of supporters through donations and fundraising to provide the £10 million needed each year to support out work and enable our crews deliver emergency pre-hospital treatment to critically ill and injured people when they need us most.” The journey to raising over £15,000 involved various team members challenging themselves throughout the year, along with organising events for clients, professional contacts and internal incentives including wellbeing step challenges and dress-down days. Seven team members from Wright Vigar took to the skies, parachuting with purpose to raise funds by taking part in a sponsored Sky Dive, this alone managed to raise almost half of the initial target set out by the firm. One individual took on a charity boxing match, whilst another ascended Mount Snowdon at night. Some of the fitness enthusiasts took part in a half marathon, whilst others accomplished a 100-mile bike ride. The team’s dedication to raising funds went that bit further by holding internal office events such as wellbeing step challenges, dress down days and social-come-fundraiser nights. On top of all this, Wright Vigar supported LNAA’s mission in raising more awareness of the charity by organising various events throughout the year for their clients and fellow professional contacts. This included hosting two successful golf days, a football tournament, and a brain-teasing quiz night which significantly contributed to the amazing amount they managed to raise. Tom Maxwell, Marketing Manager at Wright Vigar said, “It has been a pleasure to lead on the fundraising efforts for the firm and work with the team at Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. We are immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year. As a firm we like to give back to the communities that we work in and having a charity of the year for the first time has really helped focus our efforts. Stay tuned for our exciting announcement—we’ll soon reveal our charity for next year!” About Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance: It is thanks to the generosity and goodwill of supporters throughout the area that the crew of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance can provide such a critical care.
